FAQ's Click on questions below for answers

Q. Is there any job security?

A. Yes, we only employ trainers when we need them. We ensure that our trainers build to at least 35 hours of Personal Training before we provide career opportunities for new trainers. Further, we allocate clients to those personal fitness trainers who need more clients.

Q. Am I required to be an experienced personal fitness trainer before working in your company?

A. No, we provide extensive training before you start with us. This training provides you with the tools to become an outstanding trainer very quickly. We also provide weekly ongoing training to ensure that you continue to grow and succeed long-term.

Further, our induction training gives you 15 CEC points towards your fitness leader re-registration.

Q. Do I need to have Certificate IV in Fitness in order to work with you?

A. Yes, all of our trainers must have at least Certificate IV in Fitness to be eligible to play with us.

Q. Do you offer work experience for people starting out in the industry?

A. Yes, we offer work experience at all of our fitness centres for people who are interested in working within our business, once they have completed the relevant qualifications.

Q. Do I need to pay for my own insurance if I work with your company?

A. No, each studio's insurance covers our trainers for all sessions provided. That is an instant saving of $180 per year.

Q. Do you charge your trainers rent to train clients at your studios?

A. No, all of our trainers are employed on a casual basis and paid at an hourly rate. We do not lock trainers into any form of long-term contract.

Q. Am I expected to get my own clients?

A. Our marketing department is responsible for generating new clients for trainers. Trainers are encouraged to seek new business, after their initial building phase.

Q.Is there any incentive for bringing new people to the business?

A. Yes, we pay a $100 commission to all of our trainers for each new client they bring to the business.

Q. Am I provided any training to teach me how to receive these bonuses?

A. Absolutely, we provide sales training for all of our staff, using some of the world's leading sales trainers. Our trainers are provided communication and sales skills that they can use for the rest of their lives, in any field.

Q. Do I have to pay for my own uniform?

A. No, we provide our trainers 2 new uniforms every 6 months

Q. Do I have to worry about paying my own tax?

A. No, our payroll department pays all taxes, superannuation and workers compensation entitlements on behalf of each trainer. The relief of this headache then allows you to do what you love to do - helping people transform their lives!

Q. Is there any opportunity for growth within the business?

A. Yes! In fact most of our trainers now run their own Vision Franchise, not having any experience prior to starting with us. In fact 3 of them now own multiple studios. Termed our "Grow N Go" program, there are great opportunities for our trainers to progress from trainers to managers and studio owners in a very short period of time. It is apparent that many trainers who work as independent trainers in big gyms have very little opportunity to grow. Hence, why there is such a high rate of trainer turn over in those gyms.

Q. Will I be competing for clients with other trainers?

A. Definitely not! All of our trainers work closely together to ensure they achieve their goals together. Further, we only employ new trainers when our current trainers have built a steady database of clients.

Q. Am I locked into any contract that forces me to pay the business money?

A. No. Our trainers are not under any pressure. Our aim is to help our trainers reach their own goals, before they reach our goals.

Q. Do I have to spend hours writing client programs in my own time?

A. No! We have built the World's leading exercise and nutritional software program that builds each client's program for them. This allows our trainers to spend more time earning money training clients.

Q. Do I have to work in shifts or is their flexibility with my working hours?

A. We provide our trainers with a great deal of flexibility with their hours. We closely work with our trainers to ensure that they work in blocks to maximise their productivity. Our trainers are free to work when they wish, so long as they reach their own session targets. We encourage a strong work / life balance to ensure that trainers do not burn out.

Q. Do I have to work 6am to 9pm every day of the week including Saturday's?

A. We encourage our trainers to have some mornings and / or afternoon off during the week. This ensures that trainers are always fresh & have the time to do things they enjoy outside of work. We do recommend that trainers live close to their studio.

Q. How often is my performance/pay rate reviewed?

A. We provide our trainers with a simple performance review criteria. Each trainer's performance and pay is reviewed every 6 months.

Q. Is it important for me to live in close proximity to the studio?

A. We have found over the years that the position is best suited to people who live close to the studio. Many of our suburban studios close between 12pm and 3pm hence our trainers are expected to be available in the morning and evening as these are our peak hours.

Q. What attributes should I have to be a successful Personal Trainer?

A. We recommend that you have a strong personality, and are a role model for your clients in your exercise and nutrition habits.

Q. Why would I work with Vision rather than for myself?

A. We have developed comprehensive training and business management systems to ensure that our trainers are provided with long-term career opportunities. Unfortunately, the average lifespan of a Personal Trainer in the industry is less than 1 year. Vision trainers last much longer than that. We provide our trainers with security and variety, within a friendly team atmosphere where there is great opportunity to grow into extremely successful business people.
