Q. How many years has Vision been in existence?

A. Vision has been operating since August 1999 and the first Vision studio was opened in Caringbah, Sydney in February 2001. We have been franchising since July 2004.

Q. Why are Personal Training studios so popular?

A. The growth of Personal Training studios has primarily been due to the need for personal fitness and health facilities that focus on results. Many people feel disillusioned about joining big gyms and not receiving personalized attention. Further, most big gyms are intimidating and overcrowded, whereas, most Personal Training studios are intimate; places where clients find a personal trainer and feel special.

Q. How does a Personal Training Studio attract clients who could purchase less expensive services at a local gym?

A. The Personal Training client is willing to pay for exceptional personal fitness training services, which offer guaranteed results. Compared to gyms, the finest Personal Training studios offer a personalized, crowd free, boutique environment.

Q. What services does a Vision studio offer?

A.Vision provides a one-on-one Personal Training services via half or one hour session times, catering for clients with fat loss, fitness, toning, strength and muscle gain goals. Vision provides a unique holistic approach to each client's health and well being through our personal training programs. We use our own custom built exercise and nutrition software program that is recognized globally for its ability to help clients achieve results quickly and maintain them long-term.

Q. What other services do the studios offer?

A. Vision offers an exclusive membership service available only to clients who train with a Personal trainer at least once per week. That way, our clients are available to be guided by a Personal Trainer, and share in the benefits of being able to workout by themselves in an intimate, non-threatening and non-crowded environment.

Q. How much is a Vision franchise?

A. The all inclusive investment of a franchise ranges from $250,000 to $300,000. This includes leasing, studio fit-out, equipment, training fees and all other fees and charges. When compared to most other popular franchises, this is a very cost effective opportunity.

Q. How much is the service fee and what do I receive for my service fees?

A. The royalty fee is a flat fee payable on a monthly basis. A flat fee provides a great incentive for Franchisees to profit handsomely from their studios, once they build a steady client base. The flat fee is based on a sliding scale also to enable Franchisees build positive cash flow and profits quickly.

The royalty fee covers a wide variety of management assistance and operational services provided by Vision, including:

• Training programs.

• Rigid quality control standards.

• On-going research and development of new products and services.

• Establishment and licensing of vendors and distributors.

• Greater buying power.

• Preparation and distribution of updated manuals and training videos.

• Refinement of operational accounting systems and reporting procedures.

• Assistance with all aspects of daily operations, to ensure financial success and life balance.

Q. Is there a marketing fee and, if so, what type of advertising and promotional support will I receive?

A. Yes Franchisess participate in an Advertising and Promotion Program. The fund is earmarked for studio advertising and other marketing services. Materials include:

• Product brochures to educate our clients.
• On-line marketing via our website, e-Newsletters and other internet based campaigns.
• Distribution of press releases to the media.
• Production of promotional literature.
• Point-of-sale displays.
• High-quality advertising materials.
• Media placement.
• Upgrades to our internal software systems to enhance client satisfaction and retention

The net result enhances the dominance of Vision in the market and expands customer awareness.

Q. Is there a training program? And if so, what type of training will I receive?

A.Yes. Upon acceptance of your franchise agreement and prior to your studio opening, you will receive comprehensive training through our Franchise Induction training process. This informative and intensive process covers every aspect of operations including staff training operations, administration procedures, accounting and wages procedures and product knowledge.

Training takes place at our head office and on-site for hands-on experience. During the induction training, you will receive our confidential Franchise Manual, Sales Manual, Appointments and OH&S Manual and Trainer Manual - your complete guides to studio operations.

Q. What are the services a new franchisee receives from Vision before a studio opens?

A. Determining a good location is so important therefore, Vision will select a site or assist in the selection process if you have in mind a location that is acceptable.

• After site selection, the lease is negotiated and signed by the franchisee.

• Design and construction services may be provided by Vision for the location.

• Vision also selects key fixtures and equipment.

Q. Does Vision help me open my new studio?

A. Yes. The Franchisor will to help operate and assist in employee training.

Q. Is the franchisee required to purchase any equipment, product, or supplies directly from Vision?

A. Certain private label products (e.g. Books, CD's and software) must be purchased from Vision. Certain products may also be specified and purchased from authorised vendors.

Q. How much can I expect to earn from my studio?

A.Your actual earnings depend on a number of factors including studio location, amount of time you work, your management skills and economic conditions. Essentially, you are starting a new business and there are risks. We will attempt to help minimise those risks. Therefore, it is impossible to predict your sales levels and earnings. Potential franchisees may be exposed to existing Franchise growth statistics to provide a guide of our great success.

Q. Who builds a Vision studio?

A. Vision studios may be developed through the use of Vision approved shop fitters. Vision overviews the development and building of each studio. The franchisee will be responsible for all architectural, engineering and construction fees and costs.

Q. Who selects the location of my studio?

A. Vision and Franchisee candidates work together to find a suitable studio site. Vision will provide candidates with a "Studio Location model" to work from to assist in finding the right site.

Q. What is the criteria for choosing a site?

A. Selection of a good site is very important. Vision examines such items as size, vehicular and pedestrian traffic, visibility, population density and income, lease costs, the proximity to major residential areas and other major retail businesses, and location of the studio.

Q. What is the ideal size and location for a Vision studio?

A. Vision operates most effectively in first floor commercial sites. The layout is best suited to a single floor, in a space from 150 to 200 square metres.

Q. What studio design assistance do I receive?

A. We work with designers to create detailed designs that are another integral part of the Vision formula. Each Vision studio features a carefully co-ordinated interior decor to provide a rich, pleasant, and appealing environment. In addition, equally attractive and easily identifiable exterior signage has been designed for compatibility with present-day standards.

Q. What hours will the studio be open?

A. In a typical suburban location, the studios open from 6am - 12pm and 3pm - 9pm on weekdays and 7am - 12pm on Saturdays. Some locations may have varying hours based on market forces and council restrictions.

Q. What is the length of my franchise agreement?

A. The actual length of term is based on 5 years with a further 5 year option.

Q. May I sell my franchise right?

A. Yes, subject to Vision's right of the first refusal and approval of purchaser.

Q. Can I own more than one studio?

A. Yes, if the franchisee is financially and managerially qualified, as well as complies with the standard of operation outlined in the franchise agreement.

Q. How soon after approval can I expect to open my studio?

A. That depends primarily on the availability of locations in the area you have selected for your studio.

Q. What experience do I need to operate a Vision studio?

A. A demonstrated work ethic, financial stability and business acumen along with a desire to succeed are critical factors to the success of a Vision Franchisee. Our extensive training program will prepare you effectively in all the operations of a Vision studio as well as skills in training, sales and marketing and human resources.

Q. Does Vision require franchisees to be actively involved in operating the studio?

A. Yes. It is essential that the franchisee become personally involved in all aspects of the business. You can expect to work many long hours - particularly in the beginning. You should be willing and capable of performing all sales, promotion, and other functions that are required on a daily basis. The demands on you personally can be minimised by your ability to attract, motivate, and retain capable employees.

Further, Vision's systems have been developed to the extent that the business can be operated entirely under management, giving the Franchisee greater freedom.

Q. What happens after I submit my Franchise Application Form?

A. Your application will be reviewed as soon as it is received. This process may take up to 1 week. Should your application prove satisfactory, we will contact you to arrange for you to go through the Approval Process involving a series of interviews.
