Frequently Asked Questions

How much is a Vision Personal Training franchise?
The all-inclusive investment of a franchise ranges from $250,000 to $350,000. This includes leasing, studio fit-out and equipment, initial training fees and all other fees and charges. When compared to most other popular franchises, this is a very cost effective opportunity.
How much can I expect to earn from my studio?
Your actual earnings depend on a number of factors, including studio location, amount of time you work, your management skills, and economic conditions. Essentially, you are starting a new business and there are risks. We will attempt to help minimise those risks. Therefore, it is impossible to predict your sales levels and earnings. Potential Franchisees may be exposed to existing Franchise growth statistics to provide a guide to our great success.
Who builds a Vision Personal Training studio?
Vision Personal Training studios may be developed through the use of Vision Personal Training approved shop fitters. Vision Personal Training overviews the development and building of each studio. The franchisee will be responsible for all architectural, engineering and construction fees and costs.
How many years has Vision Personal Training been in existence?
Vision Personal Training has been operating since August 1999 and the first studio was opened in Caringbah, Sydney in February 2001. We have been franchising since July 2004.
Why are Personal Training studios so popular?
The growth of Personal Training studios has primarily been due to the need for personal fitness and health facilities that focus on results. Many people feel disillusioned about joining big gyms and not receiving personalised attention or results. In addition, most big gyms are intimidating and overcrowded, whereas, most Personal Training studios are intimate places where clients find a Personal Trainer and feel personally looked after. At Vision we go one step further by guaranteeing results.
How does a studio attract clients who could opt for less expensive services of a gym?
The Personal Training client is willing to pay for exceptional personal fitness training service, which offers guaranteed results. Compared to gyms, the finest Personal Training studios offer a personalised, crowd free, boutique environment.
What services does a Vision Personal Training studio offer?
Vision Personal Training provides a one-on-one personal training service in half or one hour session times, catering for clients with fat loss, fitness, toning, strength and muscle gain goals. Vision Personal Training provides a unique holistic approach to each client's health and well being through our personal training programs. We use our own custom built exercise and nutrition software program that is recognised globally for its ability to help clients achieve results quickly and maintain them long-term.
What other services do the studios offer?
Vision Personal Training offers an exclusive membership service available only to clients who train with a Personal Trainer at least once per week. That way, our clients are both guided by a Personal Trainer, and share in the benefits of being able to workout by themselves in an intimate, non-threatening and non-crowded environment.
How much is the service fee and what do I receive for my service fees?
The royalty fee is a flat fee payable on a monthly basis. A flat fee provides a great incentive for franchisees to profit handsomely from their studios once they build a steady client base. The flat fee is based on a sliding scale so as to enable Franchisees to build positive cash flow and profits quickly.

The royalty fee covers a wide variety of management assistance and operational services provided by Vision Personal Training, including:

Why should I purchase a franchise?
The primary advantage of franchising is that it substantially reduces risks. Other significant advantages include:

  • The initial and on-going support of a franchisor, whose business succeeds only to the extent that its franchisees succeed
  • The buying power and consistent product quality that is available from the franchisor
  • The ability of the franchisor to secure preferred locations
  • Proven systems of operations and training, which are constantly being improved by the Franchisor
  • Affiliation with a growing chain that provides name recognition
Why should I purchase a Vision Franchise instead of another fitness operation?
After more than 25 years in the fitness business, the franchisor has developed their systems to provide a business opportunity that can truly provide the franchisee with freedom, personal growth and life balance. Vision provides opportunities for franchisees to contribute to the evolution of their businesses and the franchise system as a whole. Our world class Operating Systems, Training Programs and field support ensure that our clients achieve amazing results. You should take these important qualities into consideration when making your decision.
How soon after approval can I expect to open my studio?
That depends primarily on the availability of locations in the area you have selected for your studio.
What experience do I need to operate a Vision Personal Training studio?
A demonstrated work ethic, financial stability and business acumen along with a desire to succeed are critical factors to the success of a Vision Personal Training franchisee. Our extensive training program will prepare you effectively in all the operations of a Vision Personal Training studio as well as skills in training, sales and marketing, and human resources.
Does Vision require franchisees to be actively involved in operating the studio?
Yes. It is essential that the franchisee become personally involved in all aspects of the business. You can expect to work many long hours - particularly in the beginning. You should be willing to and capable of performing all sales, promotion, and other functions that are required on a daily basis. The demands on you personally can be minimised by your ability to attract, motivate, and retain capable employees.

Further, Vision Personal Training's systems have been developed to the extent that the business can be operated entirely under management, giving the franchisee greater freedom.
