For more than 10 years after the birth of my 3 children I had kept on a lot of extra weight and yoyo'd constantly. I had tried several weight loss plans, but to no avail. I power-walked a few times per week but decided I would try some strength training to change my body shape and hopefully lose a few kilo's. I enquired at Vision Bangor in May 2016 - and have never looked back!

I expected a couple of Personal Training strength sessions per week, but Vision is so much more! From the outset, I loved the attention to state of mind, to body type and how different bodies need a different mix of nutrients to lose weight effectively. I loved how my trainer Stuart helped me with a food plan and exercise plan to suit my own needs. Within 16 weeks I had lost 12 kilos and have kept it off ever since! Vision has taught me exactly what I need to eat and do to maintain a healthy weight.

I have enjoyed my Vision journey so much, I have loved the opportunity to join in group training sessions when it suits, and also being able to just pop in and use the equipment myself. My PT sessions are so well suited to my needs. They concentrate on strength and stamina and I am stronger and fitter than I have ever been. My progress has inspired me to get out of my comfort zone and train for a half marathon. I have been running regularly for some time now, up to 17km's at a time and will run in my first Half Marathon in a few months from now.

The biggest bonus has been the flow on effect in my home. My husband and I regularly do long bush walks together, and my 3 children all now jog with me on occasions and have entered 5km and 11km fun runs with me - they also make much more healthy food choices than they used to!

Joining Vision has been one of my best life decisions!
