Before starting at Vision Personal Training Bangor, my doctor told me that I needed to get my blood pressure under control and that I was pre-diabetic. He also told me that I needed to lose weight and reduce my waist measurement below 100cm. I was exhausted just running to the train. After trying to lose weight on my own and being unsuccessful, I joined Vision Personal Training and during my first year I was under 100kg. My eating was under control and my fitness improved out of sight.
Despite that effort, I didn't lose much off my waist, and my doctor was still nagging, so Chris my Trainer suggested a goal that would stretch me. Firstly to run the Sutho2Surf in under 6 minutes/km and secondly to run a half-marathon. While I didn't think I could do it at first, we set up a training plan that saw me firstly hit my marks in the Sutho2Surf and then complete the Blackmores half-marathon - I ran all the way! During my training for these events I managed to lose 15kg and over 35cm in girth.
Since then, I have had to buy new clothes, calmed my doctor down, continued to train for further half-marathons and even planning a full marathon next year.
