Tell us about your life before Vision?

I used to go to the gym 2-3 times a week for about 30 mins each without a planned training program. I didn't have a Personal Trainer. Given it was a 24/7 gym, I would go at late hours when it was convenient in my schedule. My diet wasn't monitored, I tried Lite & Easy but it didn't make much difference for me.

What results have you achieved?

I guess the top achievement is losing 10kgs, also my fitness has improved, I can now run longer and have lowered my metabolic age by 16 years!
My core is much stronger, I can now do better sit-ups and longer planks. The rower (which I used to dislike) is now my friend. I've met many interesting and funny people along the way who have been encouraging in my weight loss journey.

How has life changed for you?

I am now more confident, I feel good about myself and can say "I did it". I am very happy for what I have achieved so far and really ecstatic with my accomplishments. It makes me even happier that people around me have noticed the change and that my daughter and sister, are proud of what I have achieved. I am now more conscious of what I eat (though there is the occasional treat, I know how to address it and burn it off), and meal plan better of course.

What is your favourite thing about training at Vision?

My favourite is definitely the group training classes. They are lots of fun and being able to bring a family member for free as well definitely makes it better.

What advice would you give someone in a similar situation to where you were, and is thinking about making a change?

Change is definitely not easy at the start, you need to prepare for it mentally and emotionally but it is definitely achievable. Healthy nutrition is certainly a key factor along with the discipline to not eat junk food. Just give it a try, stick to it and see the difference it will make.
