My Vision journey started in 2014. By 2015 I had lost almost 10 kgs of body weight, but I'd lost this weight before, so what? .... Fast forward to 2018 and now not only have I maintained my body weight but I'm mentally and physically stronger and part of a community that inspires and motivates.
I have recently completed a 9-week challenge, losing 2 kgs of weight and 900g body fat with the help of my awesome trainer who has helped me improve my technique and hit some awesome PB's. He shows me every day that I am capable of so many more reps than I realise.
What makes it different from previous attempts is knowing that it is lifestyle change rather than a quick fix, it took years to cultivate the bad habits so the changes are not going to happen overnight. Every day I learn something more.
Making healthy eating choices and sticking to my daily macros on VVT are very important, but I also have balance and allow myself treats. I know that one bad meal won't affect my progress.
I have realised that change does happen and not to be afraid of pushing myself and never give up.
Going through this process alone can be very hard and you don't always feel motivated but having the friends that I have made at Vision to push me thorough these hard times and cheer me on is incredible. Whether it's at the Studio training, out on the road running races or having a laugh and a cup of coffee.
The support at Vision Bondi Junction and my Team are awesome gym buddies that inspire and lift me every day and makes this journey so much more fun!
