Lost 12kg and Fit in all my New Dresses!*

It's nearly exactly a year since I first started at Vision. I didn't have high expectations as I expected it would follow in the same manner my other "gym" experiences in that I would lose motivation to attend after a few months. Luckily that hasn't happened. Turning up two mornings a week easily fits into my routine and it is now a normal part of my life. I really like it as each session is only half an hour, so I don't feel resentful and obligated as I have in the past with going to gym classes. 

I have gradually been putting on weight over the last few years. I am tall, and everyone would tell me I was fine, but I could feel that my pants were getting tight and uncomfortable and I was starting to wear loose tops. I'd tried a food delivery service in the past which I did get results with, but as soon as I'd lost the weight and stopped the service, I put it all back on. I also didn't do much exercise as I was always too hungry and had no energy. 

I'd never enjoyed doing weights before as I found them boring, but I really look forward to doing them now as I can see my body getting more and more toned. For the first few months I would have to go home and have a sleep straight after a session as I was so worn out! But after a while I stopped having to do that without realising. My osteopath, who had been seeing me for years, told me my back was the best it's ever been and to "keep doing whatever you're doing". I also started finding that I was getting stronger and had more energy each day.  

I love the fact that Vision is more than just a place to train by the way they teach you that weight loss is 70% food and only 30% exercise. The emphasis on education about nutrition and macros has opened my eyes to why you can be eating "healthy" but still put on weight. I've used what I've learnt, not just for myself, but also to help my children bulk up a bit. I have found that all the trainers at Vision Camberwell know their stuff and love answering questions and passing on their knowledge. 

I turned the big 5-0 last year, and mostly thanks to Nick my enthusiastic trainer, I'm feeling better than I have for a very long time!  One of my goals was to start being able to wear the dresses I'd bought online that were too small - well now I fit into them and I no longer need to wear Spanx! Joining Vision is one of the best things I have ever done for myself. I've now lost all the weight I hoped to but will definitely be sticking to my twice weekly routine - I've still got plenty of goals to achieve and I know with Vision I can!
