My first goals when I joined Vision were to lose between 5-8kgs and to run a lap of Cooper Street Park - a grand distance of approximately 500 metres!
I was able to lose approximately 7kgs in my first 9 weeks and I ran 2 laps of the park and was ecstatic!
Since then I have completed numerous running events that I have never thought I would enjoy!
In my second 9 weeks the Engadine Team encouraged me to complete the Sutherland to Surf in July. A distance of 11kms! I actually did it - I ran the distance!
My next event was the Blackmore's Bridge Run which was 9km. lesser distance but more challenging I was told. I ran a quicker time than I set myself. I then completed the Brighton Seaside Dash 10kms in October.
I have now gone on and completed numerous running events and event completed the Sydney Running Festival Blackmores Half Marathon in 2 Hours.
