I have always been interested in health and fitness but with life getting in the way I needed help in making it a priority. I chose Vision because they tailor the training to the individual. They match your goals with the outcomes so that you know where you are heading. And it's not just the training. They provide nutrition advice, allow you to track your food and training, and they keep you accountable.

For me, I wanted to get stronger. I wanted to have the endurance to do road cycling and mountain bike events. Most importantly I wanted to always have the energy to play with my little girl no matter what she wanted to do without feeling exhausted.

Since starting with Vision I have competed in 100km Convict 100 mountain bike race at Wiseman's Ferry and the 108km L'etape road cycling race at Jindabyne in the Snowy Mountains. I am stronger than I have ever been. I can do 50 body weight push ups, 1.2km run in under 5 min, and I'm the closest I have ever been to being able to do my first pistol squat. These are things that I never thought I could accomplish in such a short period of time.

I am much more conscious of what I eat now. It is a good habit to get into. Whereas before I would eat something without thinking about it, now I look for a healthy option. And I look forward to exercise. It has become a daily ritual that I really enjoy. In fact, I enjoy it so much that I left my job as an Information Technology professional working on Mainframe systems for the financial sector and decided to become a Vision Trainer myself so I can help others in need on their health and fitness journey.

The next goal for me is to build up some more strength, so I can do 100 bodyweight push ups and get better at bodyweight movements such as the pistol squat and L-sit. For the endurance side of my training I want to compete in some more cycling (Bobbin Head Classic, 104km) in March next year.
My advice to anyone is just to make that initial decision and start because you've literally got nothing to lose. You will find that  you will make progress week by week, month by month and before you know it this will add up to a whole lot. You'll surprise yourself just like I did!
