Broccoli - Natures Superfood*

Add some broccoli into your macros. Whether in salads, smoothies, stir fries, roasted with garlic and lemon or simply by itself these little trees are a great option to add to your daily plan.

Some benefits of broccoli include:

  • high in vitamin K which improves calcium absorption to improve bone density
  • contains vitamin A, C and E which helps maintain skin and hair health
  • rich in fibre, helping to maintain a healthy digestive tract
  • links to lowering the risk of cancer

Top tip: Don't throw those stems out. Gram for gram the stem actually contains a little more calcium, iron and Vitamin C than the florets.

Here is a recipe to try with your next smoothie:


1 frozen banana

6 frozen strawberries

4 raw broccoli florets

½ cup milk of your choice

1/2 tablespoon smooth peanut butter

1/4 cup coconut water

Blend in your blender and enjoy.
