OATS- The outer shell of an oat is known as oat bran and has been found to reduce cholesterol and the risk of developing heart disease. Oats are also an excellent source of soluble fibre, as well as protein.

They are also rich in the antioxidant lycopene, which neutralises cells called 'free radicals' in the body, which can cause cancer.
