Tell us about your life before joining Vision Personal Training Lindfield?
Before joining Vision Personal Training Lindfield, my weight was going up and up and my fitness was none existent. With a family history of diabetes and heart disease, I knew it was only a matter of time if I didn't do something.
What results have you achieved at Vision?
I have lost a total of 20kgs. I lost 5kgs on my own and then plateaued, so I joined Vision Personal Training Lindfield to get the help and support to lose the rest, which I did. My aerobic fitness is better than it's ever been and I am really strong.
What impact has Vision had on your life since achieving your amazing results?
I now train 4-5 times a week, my 2 Personal Training sessions which I never miss and Group Training including X-Training, Group Boxing, Run and Walk Club. I have a routine and I stick to it, and it has become a part of my lifestyle.
What keeps you motivated?
There are two things that keep me motivated - Compliments because not only do I look as good as I can, I also feel good. The second is that I have made a number of friends at Vision, through Group Training and Personal Training sessions. You need to surround yourself with positive people. We always go for coffee after Training and have the occasional lunches.
What advice would you give to someone that is currently thinking about taking a positive step towards changing their health and fitness?
Changing your health and fitness takes time, especially the older you get. You can lose weight quite quickly and that's a great motivation, but it's just the start. A permanent change is just that, permanent! It takes time, so stick with it.
