When we exercise, especially high impact exercise, what we actually end up doing to our muscles is shortening them, or making them tight which is often why we feel sore after a workout, particularly when you're doing it for the very first time. This shortening or tightness we have created in our muscles is why we need to stretch-It's so very important!!


Not only does stretching lengthen our muscles back out, alleviating that sore feeling, but it is also a fantastic method of injury prevention-What's not to like??


Utilising a foam roller (Ask your Personal Trainer if you're unsure what that is or how to use it correctly) in conjunction with daily stretching takes your care of your muscles to the next level again, so get stretching!!
