I feel like a very different person from two years ago. I look at that initial photo and I see someone who was really low in confidence, insecure and unhappy. I couldn't even face myself and look the camera in the eye which says a lot about how I was feeling at the time and the personal things I was dealing with.
Fast forward to now, I have a healthier body and mindset. I am dedicated to my training and love the clarity it gives me every day.
I still have a way to go with finding the right balance, but I feel like I have a happier attitude towards life and am enjoying the foods I love again.
I have achieved a lot at Vision from building muscle and squatting 75kgs to getting my body fat to 12% through an insane amount of hard work. I'm proud of these achievements because initially my efforts towards a healthier lifestyle were scrutinised by those closest to me. I really fought to convince them that this was something that meant a lot to my happiness and way of life. I stuck to my guns and am now influencing family and friends around making improvements to their health, which is really rewarding.
At the heart of all these positive changes has been my trainer, Manny. He has had an incredible impact on my life and my biggest support from Day 1. His passion for changing people's lives is like no other and he challenges me every day to be a stronger version of myself.
