Unlocking Results - Consistency is Key*

 In my experience, clients establishing a strong and meaningful 'WHY' when they are setting their goals is the clearest indicator of how likely they are going to be to follow their program - consistently!

Your 'WHY' goes beyond your clothing size or a particular number on the scales. Often it is found in the meaningful things in your life that bring you joy - that your current lack of health and fitness is holding you back from doing.

Or, perhaps your 'WHY' is wanting to ensure you are treating your body with the care, respect and nurturing it needs to ensure you remain active, happy and healthy - and can continue to do the things that bring you joy!

Recently, a client came into a particularly busy period at work. As his schedule became increasingly demanding, he found himself feeling overwhelmed and lost focus. He cancelled sessions for the first time, promising himself he would make up for it - but as soon as he allowed his routines to be compromised, consistency slipped away from him, and he chose not to fulfil his weekly health and fitness goals.

Fast forward a fortnight later, and this same client was overheard counselling a fellow client who too was going through a particularly busy and stressful time at work. "Do not let the time you choose to invest in your health and fitness become an option. It is above all, the most important choice you can make for yourself. Without it, you will still feel busy. But you will also feel sluggish, anxious and uninspired. Eat well, move your body, do the sessions with your trainer - you know you always feel like a million dollars afterwards, no matter what else has happened in your day".

 

This reflection highlights the way in which establishing your 'WHY' is important. Your Vision Trainer will work with you to develop an appropriate, results focused program and also assist you in continuously reminding yourself of your 'WHY' in those moments that you need the reinforcement and encouragement.

 

The important thing to note is that your health and fitness program should not overwhelm you. Consistency is key in every aspect of your health and fitness journey! Your nutrition and exercise program need not be complicated - just customised to suit you, your lifestyle and your goals. You program is exclusively yours ! Establish a clear 'WHY' and consistently work towards it. Allow each passing day to become a day closer to you achieving your ultimate goal..and don't forget to appreciate how good it feels to be energised, strong and healthy throughout the journey!
