I was trapped in a yoyo diet cycle. I was simply not achieving anything in terms of my health and fitness and my weight was spiralling out of control. I lacked the motivation to be consistent with my diet and, I was starting to feel that I couldn't do it on my own, it was all too overwhelming.

The tipping point was losing almost 10kg the year prior and then gaining most of it back within months without even realising. I realised as I said to myself "I am going on a diet Monday" that I had been on a diet for most of my life and that this wasn't a healthy life.

I felt trapped, the following week I was introduced to Vision I walked in the door committing to "the last diet", I needed to make my health a priority.

Since joining Vision my life has changed in so many ways, the humble yet enormous goal when I started of losing 10kg and being fitter has been totally smashed in more ways than I would have ever imagined. Vision has given me so much more than a new clothing size and a healthy number on the scales. I have found the lifestyle balance at Vision, it's not about taking everything away from your life that you enjoy in order to lose weight, it's about balancing what you enjoy with a plan of healthy eating and exercise in order to achieve and maintain your goals.  I have lost 23.2kg and 85.5cm's in just under a year and gone from size 14 to 10. I can run 10km and love being challenged in my PT sessions with new weights, something that always scared me.

 There have been so many ups and downs but when I thought things were so hard I always had the support of my trainer refocusing me and motivating me to keep going. Vision's 9 week goal sessions  gave me achievable time frames to achieve smaller goals and gradually work on the bigger goal with the help of my trainer. It took me a while to realise that you can't always have your cake and eat it too if you want to lose weight, I found this at times difficult to manage. I am such a social person and I struggled from time to time going "without" and changing my behaviour in these social situations, however I soon discovered that saying no to a glass of wine or piece of cake made all the difference to my results. In time it became easier I began to realise that I didn't have to always go "without" and that I could simply modify things and still achieve my goals. I remember one week early on being very disheartened that I wasn't losing weight, my trainer said to me "give me 1 week, eat perfectly, exercise and I promise you will lose weight", from memory I lost 2kg that week and that really kick started my commitment to the program, knowing that it did work and it wasn't another "diet" I would fail, I just had to be careful.  Once those numbers started to drop and I watched my body change I felt more empowered and motivated to continue. I could still enjoy going out for dinner or a drink and lose weight but it was about balance. Once I started to track what I ate and exercise accordingly it all started to happen.

 It is hard but you will never regret joining Vision. The supportive and friendly nature of the studio makes achieving all of your goals possible and a lot easier than doing it alone. I have done a lot of diets and exercise plans and have never been able to achieve what I have at Vision. It is a real team effort, not only do you have the support of your personal trainer but every other client and personal trainer at Vision is there to help and support you when you need the extra encouragement. This has been the best money I have ever spent on myself and the results have been more than worth it . Reflecting back, as hard as it was from time to time this has been the first time losing weight has actually been enjoyable, Vision adds a lot to your life and I am now positive that I have "dieted for the last time"!
