Before VisionPT Prahran, exercise had changed from being scheduled into my busy week to being squeezed in if I had time on a weekend, which was largely inconsistent! Having mainly a desk job, I was definitely not active enough!
Food wise, I've never been huge on takeaway. Meals out are mainly with friends or if I was interstate for work. However I travelled a lot and most weekends were busy socially, revolving around meals and wine! So I'd try and make up for this by being good during the week. Not surprisingly over time, I had been continually gaining weight.
Eventually I decided enough! If I didn't make any changes, I would continue to put on weight and life is short. I decided the 24 hour gym I belonged to was not very motivating to attend.
Starting at Vision PT Prahran, the team were immediately all very welcoming as well as the clients in the classes, making it less intimidating when trying to get through a class or PT session. Setting goals along with Mak's suggestions each week to attend an extra class here and there, or walk more, soon became routine. Mak has kept me accountable to keep moving torwards my goals and pushing me during PT sessions.
The variety of activities the team put together from the supermarket tours, weekly seminars, online classes and activities, walk/run club and challenges create a motivating environment and community working towards living a healthier life - especially important during these Covid times.
