I have been at Vision Personal Training St Ives for the past 3 years and love the friendly environment of a small studio; where not only the trainers know your name but all the other clients.
Since I have been training at Vision, my strength and fitness levels have improved drastically where I now feel I can conquer anything I put my mind to.
I have successfully completed a half marathon which is something I had never dreamed of doing prior to coming to Vision. As a leader with the Girl Guides, I can keep up with the young girls whilst hiking, kayaking, caving and swimming, something other leaders my age are no longer able to do.
My PT sessions each week provide me with the variety and intensity of training that far outweighs any training I do on my own. I used to cycle by myself 100-150kms a week alone and really wasn't getting anywhere.
I also love participating in group exercises classes, especially when outdoors in the sunshine. Not only am I increasing my cardio ratio for the week, I'm training with friends and working on my tan! And I enjoy that we always go out for a quick coffee!
Last year my husband joined Vision, that has really made things a lot easier for me. His passion is running and his times have really improved and he is really loving running again!
I know a HUGE part of success is planning the food diary the previous day. Preparing most meals and having everything ready in the fridge is a bonus! I realise that I am not going to starve that day and my next snack or meal is always ready BEFORE I lose the plot! My favourite part is ticking my training diary after each session!
Another positive of life at Vision is being able to share my adult daughters' wardrobes!
