I was sporty and very active throughout my 20's. I then fell into a "black hole" of inactivity that lasted a decade! Finally recognising that this needed to change, I started training with Vision early 2016.The first few months were tough, especially with the change in diet, but I grew stronger and fitter every week. Before too long I had completed my first 10km run, then went on to race 3 half marathons, complete 3 triathlons and my first ocean swim.
I have regained my fitness and my body composition has changed dramatically. But most important to me is the impact training has had on my mind and mental state, which is much happier and healthier since I started training than it had been for a long time.
I am unsure what this year's goals will bring - Half Ironman? Full Marathon?
What I do know is that I am loving finding new ways to challenge myself and improve my strength and fitness.
