Being stubborn and continuing to do things in the same ways will only tie you to the things that have been holding you back. The simple truth about why some people will accomplish outrageous feats of success during this challenge, and others will not is that some will be willing to do hard things.
Accept that a Weight Loss Challenge will present challenges to you. But also acknowledge that the same part of you that has decided to take this challenge on, is the part of you that is more than capable of facing and overcoming these challenges.
In the next 9 weeks if you put in the work to let go of the things that have been holding you back, you might be surprised at how amazing you really are.
The hard things are the easiest things to avoid. To excuse away. To pretend like they don't apply to you. But the way in which you deal with these challenges, these hard moments will have a direct impact on your results.
It is crucial that you identify what these challenges are. Take an honest look at yourself and your life and write a list of the places, situations, times of day and even people that will be speed bumps on your road to success in this 9 week challenge. Start by considering what challenges you will have to overcome this week. Be honest.
Now take 100% responsibility for the way in which you will react to these challenges. No one can control what you do, or how you choose to feel, but you. Share these challenges with your trainer, and clearly articulate how you plan to overcome them. It helps to be held accountable, to have a plan, to have a source of inspiration - and your trainer is an expert in all of these things.
Make sure you follow through each and every day, not giving yourself any justification to give in to the hard moments..
Face the challenge and overcome it.
Each and every time.
It will take work, but if nothing changes, nothing changes.
