14.5kg loss in 9 weeks*

Life has never been better. Yes, it is a cliché but I am truly in a really great space and much of the credit goes to Vision Personal Training Wahroonga and the recent Weight Loss Challenge which created the focus for me to lose 14.5kg in just 9 Weeks without feeling overly hungry and with relative ease and grace.

It was 3rd Feb and I just weighed in at 97.4kg early in the morning before my weights PT session. I had spent 6 months at Vision Personal Training getting fitter and stronger but had not managed to lose any weight. I was frustrated and ready to do something about it!

I spent some time that morning writing out a few important things I was going to do to lose the weight. All of my clothes were too tight and I had developed some less than useful carb snacking habits at night time that needed to change! I had also had several discussions with my friends about potentially running the SMH Half Marathon in May 2017. I did run it 3 years prior when I was last at the weight I wanted to be. Interestingly this became a critical item for my motivation throughout the challenge.

My weight at the end of the challenge was 82.9 kg a loss of 14.5kg in 9 weeks. My resting heart rate is below 50 bpm and my body fat below 20% down from close to 30%. I am now running 10km in 53 minutes and am getting ready for my half marathon in mid-May. I feel great and fit my clothes beautifully. What an incredible transformation it has been! Now I am now finding a maintenance food balance for long term health at close to 80kg every day.
