I was too 'busy' to exercise or eat properly. I was too embarrassed to go clothes shopping with friends because nothing would fit. I had very little confidence on a personal level and while I hid it well by joking and laughing with friends I wasn't living my life the way I wanted to. I wanted to be able to spend more quality time with my niece and goddaughter & the kids in my life. I didn't want to be just sitting watching TV or movies with them. To date I have lost 60kg, I have run a 5km, 7km, 10km runs, the 14km City to Surf, 2 Half Marathons, a 60km charity walk, the neon run, a 10km trail run and the Mudrun. I have climbed a volcano, I have tackled the sand dunes & the Coogee stairs. Fallen in love with boxing and I am now in training to have my first boxing fight. I am happier, healthier, more confident, I am a new person… I look forward to jumping out of bed each morning. Life has changed for me so significantly - the best result of all is that work is no longer my focus, my life now revolves around my health and my happiness. It's nowhere near as hard as you think it is. I am walking proof that if you put in a little bit of hard work, trust your PT and the process, be honest with your food diary, your PT and ultimately yourself you can do this. Vision's system focus on a balanced approach to exercise, nutrition, emotions and educating you with the necessary tools to stay on track each week which really does work! You owe it to yourself to give it another shot at saving your life and finding your own fun and adventure whatever that means to you. I love the new me and wish everyone could feel the way I feel.
