What was the trigger for you to join Vision?
I was in a bit of a rut feeling uncomfortable, my clothes were starting not to fit me, the thought of going out and socialising was increasingly becoming more difficult as I didn't feel comfortable and the lifestyle I was living of drinking and making bad food choices was not helping ! I thought I can't keep doing this and needed to do something about it.
I had a DEXA full body scan where the result was I was obese and that is where my Vison journey started.
After the DEXA scan I started looking for a personal trainer as I knew I needed someone to push me, I searched for personal trainers in Sydney and Vision Personal Training appeared as a result so I emailed through an enquiry and have not looked back since.
What was the experience of simply starting like?
Starting was a bit daunting especially having to do the photo session. After the first training session my body was in a world of pain and I thought to myself what am I doing. However week after week I started to love it and the results.
What results have you had?
I have currently lost 25.4kgs

What were the key factors to succeeding?
My amazing Trainer. Had I of attempted to do this on my own I would have failed probably after the second attempt of training.
Overcoming the mental barriers I have with my knee took a bit of time in which Olga has helped me overcome gently pushing me to limits that I would have given up on previously
From the start I had no idea on where to start, I thought to lose weight it would be a lot of cardio training which scared me not because I don't like cardio but because of the restrictions I have with my knee. I also thought that if I didn't eat breakfast and only had two meals a day I was sure to lose weight I learnt quickly how wrong I was ! The key factors would have to be food planning and monitoring and the motivation to hit the targets set.
What other life experiences have now changed for you?
Food planning now plays a massive part in my life where as before it was just something I had to do and when I did eat I would over indulge not only with the food but alcohol.
I feel more comfortable and confident then I have before.
What would you say to anyone that needs to lose weight?
For anyone wanting to lose weight I would say start today. Move your body everyday even if you can't do much a little bit Is better than nothing.
Never give up. There will always be curve balls every now and then but keep focussed and you will soon be back on track.
One of my favourite sayings is "The three C's of life: Choices, Chances, Changes - You must make a choice to take chance or your life will never change"
